"Howlett Help" Program

Building Foundations

The goal of this program is to equip students with the skills to read fluently, comprehend what is read and write.These skills are fundamental to academic success.

Specifically, students will be taught spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and how to read and comprehend. Students will be taught in groups using a variety of instructional strategies according to their needs. Group learning offers students a feeling of security, the opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other.  

Classes will be for 10 weeks for 90 minutes per session, as it takes many hours of practice for success to be fully realized.

When does the next program start?
Saturday September 25, 2010 at 9:00 AM
Students will be given a calendar of dates at their first session.

How much is the cost?
$350 for ten sessions. Payment due by September 25. A child is registered once the registration is complete and the fees have been paid. Places will not be held until registration is complete.

Who should apply?
Students between the ages of 8 and 11 who find reading, comprehension and writing challenging.

Where are classes located?
Classes will be held at Howlett Academy, which is located at 15 Madison Ave at Bloor and Spadina.
