Ode to My Socks

Oh my socks
My beautiful socks,
You keep my feet warm,
You make them look
like two black torpedoes.
Oh socks, wholehearted socks,
Tucked in my drawer,
Safe and snug,
I idolize thou,
My feet come alive
when they’re tucked within.
I adore to put them on,
But loathe to take them off,
My super suave socks.
Magnificent, outstanding
I cannot describe your excellence.
When pigs fly then I’ll give you up,
I think of you when I walk on cold floors.
You are intelligent, glamorous the list goes on.
The urge to put you on is irresistible,
You and I are compatible,
accustomed to each other
Even in cumbersome times.
Thou art stupendous, benevolent, and affectionate.
With you I can sock anyone.
Oh socks, how can I thank you?
You marvelous inanimate being,
You come in different colors,
Blue, black and white.
Oh socks,
Your uses are many
Your disadvantages are few
Oh wondrous socks
I praise you!
